Fountains General Information

Lakefront Designs & Services, Inc. is pleased to introduce a three-tier floating fountain that provides a delicate and aesthetic display to complement your lake view while assisting in improving water quality. This type of fountain provides the same beautiful display as a typical floating fountain but with true ecological benefits. The uplit three-tier pattern, with its floral arches, will add a dramatic evening / night view to your lake front with displays available in heights from 10 to 15' (height depends on pump size).

Our three-tier lighted fountain is powered by your existing irrigation pump and is fully automated. The fountain system is designed to be run during peak viewing hours with minimal evaporation. Our professional installation guarantees proper integration with irrigation system and minimal additional wear of your existing pump.

Standard equipment includes a precision machined nozzle, a UL-listed water resistant automated control panel, nema 3 fiberglass casing, a polyethylene float, stainless steel brackets and a brass 120V/250W light fixture. All floating fountain components are fully water resistant and made of the finest corrosion-resistant materials to provide years of dependability and high performance.

Ecological Benefits

Water quality issues in our lakes are primarily created by an excess of nutrients. Utilizing parts of an existing irrigation system can aid the natural process of breaking down excess nutrients in our lakes. The existing irrigation intake located on lake bottom is used to draw water to irrigate your landscape. By discharging water through the fountain display on the surface the irrigation system is now used to circulate the water from top to bottom. This circulation of water destratifies existing layers of gases within the lake. Typically, the layer closest to the bottom of the lake contains harmful amounts of gasses such as carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfate, nitrogen and ammonia. Gently moving gasses in the bottom layer allows for increased levels of oxygen. Microorganisms on the lake bottom depend on oxygen to break down excess nutrients. Therefore, supplying more oxygen to the community of microorganisms on the lake bottom helps improve water quality.
