Lakefront Designs & Services, Inc. offers all permitting services pertaining to lakefronts and conservation areas (easements). Most often, permits are required for lakefront clearing and maintenance, dredging and filling lakefront activities, and clearing and maintenance of conservation areas. These permits usually specify replanting of beneficial native plants or trees.

Permits are required at the state, county, and/or city levels. Most frequently, the government agencies involved are the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection Bureau of Invasive Plant Management, the Orange County Environmental Protection Department, and local city agencies such as the City of Orlando, Winter Park, or Winter Springs.

We will fill out all applications and provide the appropriate diagrams, drawings, and photo documentation needed for submittal. We also track those applications and respond to any requests for additional information or site visits required by the agencies.

Due to the submittal and response process, permitting is the most time consuming aspect of a lakefront restoration. We urge all clients to begin the process to secure a permit as quickly as possible, even if they are undecided about the lakefront work.
